Lights on Afterschool is on October 24. This national showcase for Out-of-School Time is around the corner and we'd like for you to showcase just how wonderful your program is here in New Britain. As part of this challenge, this year's theme is "Show Us Your Spark". How does your program encourage you to be better?

Showcase your program as a whole – perfect for staff or volunteers to create. One program will be given a prize!

What's the Prize?

The most creative program video wins a $500 grant from American Savings Foundation for their afterschool activities! A special prize will be awarded to the best youth video.

But Wait, There's More!

Every student who participates is automatically entered into a raffle for the chance to win a $100 gift card.

We can't wait to see what you come up with! Let's celebrate the amazing things happening in our afterschool programs!

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • All videos must be submitted via the links above.
  • HD or 4k will only be accepted. Video should be easy to view, clear, and legible.
  • It goes without saying, but we will not accept videos with any profanity or negativity. Stay positive!
  • Record your videos in landscape or wide rectangle format. No vertical videos!
  • Programs must have their logo somewhere, but individual submissions should not have any logos of any kind.
  • No longer than 1 minute (Edit creatively!)
  • Any videos submitted have the potential to be distributed to the general public.
  • Must be a youth or program in New Britain, CT to participate.
