Lights On New Britain 2021
On Thursday, October 28th, afterschool programs in Connecticut and around the country celebrated Lights On Afterschool.
As Connecticut Public Radio’s Ray Hardman reported, the annual event is a way to showcase the many ways these programs inspire children while keeping them safe. Tyshaunda Wiley, the Prevention Coordinator of the New Britain Local Prevention Council (NBLPC), joined him to discuss the event and how much afterschool programs matter to our kids.
